A Data Visualization Dashboard for Real-Time Insights
Overview
CDN platforms generate enormous amounts of data. Our old dashboard didn’t prioritize information, making it hard to understand traffic, usage, bandwidth, and error logs. I redesigned the dashboard with a modern data visualization system using color-coded cards, charts, graphs, and interactive filtering.
Challenge
The challenge called for transforming raw CDN data into intuitive visual insights. The issue was:
Overwhelming raw data
No prioritization
Low data comprehension
Poor visualization hierarchy

To turn technical CDN data into a simple, visual, scannable analytics dashboard.
Process
I first mapped all available CDN data and prioritized what users needed most. Using data-visualization best practices, I led the team to redesign the dashboard with modular cards, charts, heatmaps, and geo-maps that made patterns instantly recognizable. Filters, tooltips, and hover interactions were added to provide depth without overwhelming the user. My plan included:

Result
Redesigned the onboarding experience for a global CDN SaaS platform to improve user activation and retention. By simplifying the flow, refining plan categorization, and integrating customer segmentation, the redesign achieved 84% more direct purchases, 33% fewer inactive users, and a 78% boost in monthly revenue — proving the power of data-driven UX design in SaaS environments.
Learnings
Data visualization principles like color consistency, recognition over recall, and prioritizing critical metrics were crucial in turning raw data into meaningful insights. Interactive elements such as hover states also played a major role in meeting the needs of both quick scanners and detail-oriented users.
